Every tutor is background-checked, trained, and genuinely passionate about helping students succeed. We hand-match each student to the right fit.
La Donna brings over two decades of tutoring experience to every session. Growing up in a family of ten children, she developed a deep understanding of different learning styles and what it takes to reach each individual student. She is especially skilled at working with students who have ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning disabilities — adapting her approach to meet each child exactly where they are.
Her philosophy is simple: "Every child has the ability to learn." She specializes in building strong foundational skills in English, writing, vocabulary, and study habits that carry students through their entire academic career.
Melanie is one of the most versatile tutors on our team. With 16 years of education and special education experience — including 10 years dedicated to tutoring — she covers an exceptional range of subjects and grade levels. She currently holds a 3.88 GPA in her Education degree program and has consistently made the Dean's List.
As a certified Special Education Instructional Aide and assessment specialist for IEP goals, Melanie is uniquely equipped to support students with diverse learning needs. Her specialties span from early phonics and reading fluency all the way to high school essay writing and SAT/ACT/PSAT test preparation.
George spent 25 years working as a professional accountant before bringing his love of numbers into the classroom. He homeschooled his granddaughter through 8th and 9th grade and has coached youth soccer — experiences that shaped his patient, encouraging teaching style.
George is known for his ability to break down complex math concepts into simple, understandable steps. Students who once struggled with algebra often describe working with George as the turning point in their confidence with math.
Roxana brings energy and warmth to every session. As a bilingual instructional aide and school liaison, she has deep experience supporting students across all grade levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Her background in psychology informs her approach to student motivation and emotional support during difficult academic periods.
Roxana's sessions are dynamic and engaging — she brings the same discipline she applies to her own fitness pursuits (yoga, cycling, boxing) to helping students push through challenges and build real academic momentum.
Jacqueline is a published writer, former US House intern, and Georgia State Capitol lobbyist who now works as a paralegal while pursuing her LSAT studies. She brings an impressive academic and professional background to her tutoring sessions — and a patient, individualized teaching style that makes complex material approachable.
With two published articles in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and membership in Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society, Jacqueline offers students a unique combination of rigorous academic training and real-world writing experience.
